Sadiq Khan: TfL would do a greater job of operating London commuter trains

He needs TfL, which subcontracts the operating of the Elizabeth line and the London Overground to non-public rail corporations MTR and Arriva respectively, to run Southeastern trains to Dartford, Hayes and Sevenoaks, and Nice Northern providers to Welwyn Backyard Metropolis, Hertford and Stevenage.
