big reserve of lithium, which is the first part in electrical automotive batteries, has been analysed on the border between Orgeon and Nevada within the US.

The lithium deposits sits within the McDermitt caldera, which is the rock formation left when a volcano erupts and collapses. This explicit caldera was believed to have been shaped as much as 19 million years in the past.
