The makers of a brand new biopic about Amy Winehouse have defended their sympathetic portrayal of the singer’s ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil. Alison Owen, who was a producer on Again to Black, mentioned they wished to point out Fielder-Civil from Winehouse’s viewpoint. “Everybody thought Blake was a scuddy junkie. Nicely, not from Amy’s eyes,” she mentioned. “For Amy, he was Marlon Brando meets Joe Strummer meets Romeo. He was attractive and glamorous and beautiful, so we wished to painting him as Amy noticed him.”
