These pictures of the punk and new wave music scenes in London, New York and LA had been taken by DB Burkeman between 1976 and 1982 when he was a teenage faculty dropout scuffling with substance abuse points. Whereas he was spending his disposable revenue on self-medication, rolls of movie inevitably remained undeveloped in a bedside drawer. A long time later, following his mom’s loss of life, Burkeman cleared out his outdated bed room and found a time capsule of the explosion of punk rock. All pictures by DB Burkeman.
