The White Home canceled a high-level assembly with Israel that was scheduled for Thursday after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu launched a video claiming the US was withholding army assist, in response to a report.
Prime advisers to President Biden have been shocked and outraged by Netanyahu’s claims that the US has withheld weapons and ammunition from Israel, with a senior Israeli official telling Axios, “The People are fuming. Bibi’s video made numerous injury.”
Hours after the explosive video was revealed, US envoy Amos Hochstein personally delivered a message telling Netanyahu his accusations have been incorrect and out of line.
Quickly after, the White Home canceled a Thursday assembly on Iran, two US and Israeli sources advised Axios.
“This determination makes it clear that there are penalties for pulling such stunts,” one of many U.S. officers stated.
In his video, talking in English, Netanyahu declared that it was “inconceivable that previously few months, the administration has been withholding weapons and ammunition to Israel.”
In the meantime, the White Home publicly expressed confusion over Netanyahu’s feedback, with Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre saying just one weapons cargo had been paused because the begin of the struggle.
