The chunky English bulldog of US Sen. Jim Justice (R-West Virginia) had her first official authorities portrait snapped, based on her social media.
The 60-pound, tan-and-white pet pooch named Babydog may be seen together with her pink tongue poking out over her tiny enamel within the image, which bears the American and Mountain State flags within the background.
“Official headshot simply dropped,” reads the caption on the photograph posted to her X account on Feb. 28.
The doggo – who has been known as a “fixture in West Virginia politics” – was a key part of Justice’s Senate marketing campaign final yr.
Justice led the Mountain State as its governor from 2016 to January 2025.
“With an unwavering perception in Jim’s management, Babydog represents the real enthusiasm and belief West Virginians have in his capability to carry optimistic change,” reads the “Meet Babydog” part of Justice’s marketing campaign web site.
