Stephen Kinnock, Labour MP for Aberavon, the constituency which incorporates the Port Talbot steelworks, stated: “Tata’s choice to push ahead with its shortsighted and reckless plan can have a devastating affect on our local people as it should imply exporting well-paid jobs from Port Talbot to India, regardless of the nation’s metal vegetation having a far increased carbon footprint.”
