Twice as many lives saved by Scotland’s lifeboats final 12 months than 2023 – figures

In 2023, volunteer lifeboat crews at 46 lifeboat stations across the Scottish coast launched 1,251 occasions in 2023 – a rise of over 12% in comparison with the earlier 12 months, saving 15 lives, and the full working prices throughout the UK and Eire have been greater than £190 million with prices growing.
