Texas man arrested for allegedly stealing neighbors’ canine, killing them

A person in Texas has been arrested and charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals by adopting pets after which allegedly killing them.

The Bowie County Sheriff’s Workplace was alerted on Oct. 3 about a number of canine lacking from native houses.

One of many callers stated a suspected canine thief lived within the space.

As deputies canvased the Simms space, they went to the house the place Stuart Duncan Hammonds and his girlfriend lived.

They smelled what appeared to be decaying animals, KSLA reported.

Deputies discovered seven animal carcasses across the house and barn. They discovered skeletal stays, 12 of them recognized as canine.

A few of these canine skeletons had head trauma, an indication that they’d maybe been shot.

The sheriff’s workplace stated they consider Hammonds killed 4 of the canine whereas he was enraged in a combat together with his girlfriend, and so they stated a witness confirmed to them that he killed all 12 canine.

Hammonds was arrested and charged with 12 counts of cruelty to non-livestock animals, and his bond has been set at $100,000.

Along with allegedly stealing canine from neighbors, Hammonds reportedly adopted a number of the animals via social media.
