Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee died at 74, her household introduced on Friday.
The Democratic congresswoman, who served Texas’ 18th District since 1995, not too long ago introduced in June she was battling pancreatic most cancers.
“A neighborhood, nationwide, and worldwide humanitarian, she was acknowledged worldwide for her brave fights for racial justice, felony justice, and human rights, with a particular emphasis on ladies and kids,” an announcement from her household stated.
