Suffolk County lawmakers are pushing a legislation that will require new reasonably priced housing builders to put aside flats for volunteer firefighters and EMS.
Democrat Rebecca Sanin proposed the invoice earlier this month that will apply to builders who obtain subsidies out of the county’s workforce housing fund in an effort to cease enrolled volunteers from being priced out of Suffolk.
