A window at a Chanel retailer on the Higher East Facet was shattered by two sledgehammer-wielding males Sunday night, cops and sources stated.
Images present shards of glass littering the sidewalk in entrance of the high-end retailer at East 64 Avenue and Madison Avenue after the brazen assault round 7 p.m.
It’s unclear if any property was stolen from the high-end retailer, cops stated late Sunday, however sources stated no less than two gadgets have been snatched.
“It’s clearly not a very good factor to see if you happen to dwell within the space, however what do you count on? That is New York Metropolis,” Max Morris, who lives close to the Chanel retailer, advised The Submit.
“Hopefully we are able to have somebody who does one thing about this.”
“I’m not stunned. That’s why we actually want a very good mayor to come back in and somebody to scrub this up, this can be a horrible scenario,” he added.
No arrests have been made, and no accidents have been reported, cops stated. The investigation stays ongoing.
