An eight-week mission to restore the roof, co-ordinated by the Nationwide Belief for Scotland which cares for the constructing, has began – which is able to price £330,000 in a joint bid to revive one other Burns legacy constructing, Souter Johnnie’s Cottage, in Maybole, South Ayrshire, which wants thatch upkeep.
