Oprah Winfrey denies report that Harris marketing campaign paid her  million: ‘I used to be paid nothing — ever’

Oprah Winfrey on Monday shut down a report that Kamala Harris’ failed presidential marketing campaign paid her $1 million to stump for the Democrat.

“I used to be paid nothing — ever,” Winfrey advised a TMZ reporter who approached her as she walked to her automotive.

The reporter requested in regards to the claims that the Harris group paid her the huge determine for the star-studded, digital city corridor known as “Unite for America” that the discuss present star hosted on behalf of the Democratic nominee in September.

“Not true,” Winfrey, who endorsed Harris, mentioned.

The Washington Examiner reported final Friday that the Harris marketing campaign paid $1 million to Winfrey’s manufacturing firm on Oct. 15.

The corporate, Harpo Productions, denied that Winfrey was “paid a private payment.”

“The marketing campaign paid for the manufacturing prices of ‘Unite for America,’ a live-streaming occasion that occurred Sept. 19 outdoors Detroit, Mich.,” a Harpo spokesperson mentioned in a press release to Selection. “Oprah Winfrey was at no level through the marketing campaign paid a private payment, nor did she obtain a payment from Harpo.”

Harpo didn’t disclose the price of its manufacturing work for the digital city corridor which featured a lineup of big-name celebrities.

Winfrey later joined Harris at her remaining rally in Philadelphia on the eve of Election Day.

“We’re voting for values and integrity,” Winfrey mentioned on the rally. “We’re voting for therapeutic over hate.”

The Harris marketing campaign reportedly blew by $1 billion in its doomed election bid.
