NYPD investigators discovered a backpack in Central Park that may very well be the one ditched by the murderer who gunned down United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, cops and sources mentioned.
The bag was recovered by police south of the carousel close to Ramsey playground and matches the outline of the grey backpack worn by the shooter, sources mentioned.
The bag worn by Thompson’s killer was described by NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny as “very distinctive,” in a Friday press briefing.
“It’s enormous and grey” Kenny added.
Investigators didn’t open the bag and despatched it straight to the lab for testing, police sources advised The Publish.
