The Gaza Sunbirds are a workforce of paracyclists from Gaza, arrange in 2020 by bike owner Alaa al-Dali after he was shot within the leg by an Israeli sniper through the Nice March of Return in 2018. The Sunbirds’ journey has taken them from the war-ravaged Palestinian territory to Belgium, Italy and Kazakhstan in pursuit of their dream: to symbolize Palestine on the 2024 Paralympics in Paris.
The Gaza warfare has resulted in 1000’s of amputations, together with these carried out on an estimated 1,000-plus youngsters, all of whom have quick and life-long wants.
