It was a proud second for Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida when his son, Anthony Rubio, scored his first collegiate landing within the Florida Gators’ blowout victory over Tulane within the Gasparilla Bowl on Friday evening.
Anthony Rubio, a walk-on to the workforce, scored on a late nine-yard run with simply over a minute remaining to increase Florida’s lopsided lead to 33-8 in what marked the Gator’s fourth straight victory.
“Nice to complete the appropriate means,” Florida coach Billy Napier mentioned of the play.
The sport was already determined at that time, however Rubio’s teammates rushed to crowd round him and have a good time his first rating in his first faculty soccer recreation.
