MALTA, New York (AP) — A person was fatally shot by police Wednesday after he fired a number of rounds at a State Police barracks in upstate New York, authorities mentioned.
The capturing occurred shortly earlier than 2 p.m. on the Saratoga barracks in Malta, situated about 30 miles (48 km) north of the capital metropolis of Albany.

Roads surrounding the barracks had been closed about two hours later as police investigated.
After receiving a report of photographs fired close to the barracks, troopers left the constructing and “engaged the suspect, fatally wounding the person,” in response to a press release from State Police.
