In November 2024, the Labour Authorities introduced plans to introduce a statutory levy on playing operators. Some 20 per cent of the levy’s income will probably be directed to UK Analysis and Innovation, and the Playing Fee, to “develop bespoke analysis programmes on playing”, in response to the Home of Commons Library.
