Emergency crews have recovered 28 our bodies from the near-freezing river following the collision of an American Airways jet carrying 64 folks and a US Military Black Hawk helicopter with three troopers close to Reagan Nationwide Airport in Washington DC, in accordance with Hearth and EMS Chief John A. Donnelly.
The official has confirmed that emergency crews are switching from a rescue mission to a restoration operation, including that efforts are ongoing to return the victims’ stays to their households.
“We don’t consider there are any survivors from this accident and we’ve got recovered 28 folks from the airplane and one from the helicopter,” Donnelly informed reporters.
First responders have been working in “extraordinarily frigid circumstances. They discovered heavy wind. They discovered ice on the water, they usually’ve operated all evening in these circumstances,” in accordance with Donnelly.
