Hoboken Metropolis Council President Jen Giattino has died immediately Tuesday after serving greater than a decade in workplace, New Jersey officers stated.
She was 53.
Giattino’s tragic dying was introduced by Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla, who remembered his colleague as a “brilliant mild” and devoted public servant.
“Her kindness, humility, and quiet willpower made her a cherished determine whose influence can be felt for generations to come back,” Bhalla wrote in a press release Tuesday night. “There aren’t any phrases to explain the sense of loss we’re all feeling.
“Jen was a frontrunner in our group and fighter for all of us.”
It wasn’t instantly clear how Giattino died.
She was first elected in 2011, clinching reelection within the subsequent three metropolis council races, based on reviews.
