Delta flight compelled to make emergency touchdown at JFK over ‘contaminated meals’

An Amsterdam-bound Delta Airways flight has been compelled to make an emergency touchdown at JFK after passengers have been served “contaminated meals.”

Passengers aboard Delta flight 136 out of Detroit, Mich., have been reportedly served a portion of the in-flight meal service that was spoiled, based on the Day by day Mail.

“Delta flight 136 from Detroit to Amsterdam diverted to New York’s JFK early Wednesday morning after it was found {that a} portion of the in-flight meal service was spoiled,” a Delta Airways spokesperson informed the outlet.

Flight attendants contacted medical specialists on the bottom, who instantly diverted the airplane to JFK because it was about to start its journey throughout the Atlantic.

The flight landed safely at JFK round 4 a.m. on Wednesday.

Passengers have been met by medical personnel upon arrival on the New York Metropolis airport.

The flight, which departed from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport simply earlier than 11 p.m. on Tuesday, had 277 passengers onboard and was set to land within the Netherlands at 4:15 a.m. native time on July 4.
