Crocodile assault prompts seek for lacking man in far north Queensland

Police in far north Queensland are looking out a waterway for a person in his 40s who “didn’t floor” after a report of a crocodile assault.

Queensland police mentioned a search operation was beneath means close to Cooktown, at Annan River Bridge, after a name to emergency companies shortly after 2pm on Saturday.

Queensland ambulance service mentioned it had attended to a report of a crocodile assault at 2.07pm in relation to a person in his 40s.

A police spokesperson mentioned the search was being carried out “following studies of a person coming into the water and failing to floor”.

A spokesperson for Queensland’s setting division mentioned it was conscious of the incident and wildlife rangers had been heading to Cooktown “to supply help, if required”.
