The 138-year-old bridge has been closed to automobiles, buses and vans since April 2019, when cracks appeared within the construction’s pedestals. Solely pedestrians, and cyclists who dismount from their bikes, are at the moment ready to make use of its walkways – although the street operating by the center of the bridge continues to be shut as it’s being redecked.
