Carnival cruise grazes ice in Alaska, passenger compares it to fashionable ‘Titanic second’

A Carnival cruise ship was undamaged after grazing a chunk of ice in Alaska’s Tracy Arm Fjord final week — with one passenger dramatically evaluating it to a contemporary “Titanic second.”

The hull of the Carnival Spirit was assessed and no damages have been discovered after the incident on Thursday, Carnival Cruise Line wrote in an announcement to the Submit.

The ship was capable of proceed on its seven-day journey and not using a hitch and is anticipated to dock in Seattle, Washington on Tuesday.

Passengers and different customers on social media veered far into dramatics over the incident anyhow.

“If we die, it was rattling properly value it,” passenger Cassandra Goskie mentioned in a video she shared on TikTok. “It’s a Titanic second.”

One other passenger on board shared footage with a meteorologist, who reposted them on X. One picture reveals a tugboat following behind the Spirit simply crusing over the principally submerged ice.

On Sept. 6, one other Carnival cruise–the Carnival Vista–rerouted its Caribbean journey on account of an engine drawback, a lot to the chagrin of its passengers who’ve since demanded refunds.
