Capitol Police arrest man accused of ‘assaulting’ Rep. Nancy Mace

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) stated she was “bodily accosted” on the US Capitol constructing advanced Tuesday by a transgender rights activist who was later arrested by Capitol Police. 

“I used to be bodily accosted on the Capitol tonight by a pro-tr*ns man,” the congresswoman wrote on X.

Mace, who has pushed to restrict entry to single-sex amenities contained in the Capitol advanced, indicated that the incident was sparked “over my struggle to guard girls.” 

Capitol Police stated James McIntyre, 33, was arrested contained in the Rayburn Home Workplace Constructing in reference to the incident.
