An Australian surfer whose leg was bitten off by a shark has promised he’ll be “again in that water very quickly” as he recovers from surgical procedure.
Kai McKenzie, 23, was browsing off North Shore seashore on the mid-north coast of New South Wales on Tuesday morning when a suspected three-metre nice white shark bit him.

In a press release on Thursday, the McKenzie household thanked bystanders and first responders on the seashore and medical workers at Port Macquarie hospital and John Hunter hospital.
