Talking at a press convention on the Invoice which has been republished to include the collection of amendments made at committee stage, Sir Max mentioned: “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime alternative, a once-in-a-generation alternative, for parliamentarians of 2025 to say that – with all respect to the place their predecessors had been 60 years in the past – they’ve discovered a greater method which goes to enhance the result for among the most weak folks in society with out … opening the door to a gradual broadening of the classes of individuals to whom this Act applies.”
