Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez handily received her Democratic major over a conservative-backed challenger Tuesday.
The far-left “Squad” member racked up sufficient votes to beat again a problem from political newcomer Marty Dolan, in keeping with the Related Press, which referred to as the race lower than 20 minutes after polls closed at 9 p.m.

The first contest spilled past the confines of the 14th Congressional District’s Bronx and Queens boundaries, largely due to Ocasio-Cortez’s nationwide profile — and maybe due to a conservative Texas group’s shaky grasp of New York Metropolis geography.
The Texas-based Job Creators Community put up billboards in Occasions Sq. — removed from the district — blasting the lefty congresswoman and endorsing Dolan, a former Wall Avenue investor.
“Hey AOC!” the billboard blared. “Time to pack it up.”
Again within the deep-blue district, the three-term Ocasio-Cortez is predicted to maintain her seat within the Nov. 5 normal election.
