A ceramicist’s private tackle commemorative blue plaques – in footage

For greater than 25 years, Horace Lindezey has been making artwork at Enterprise Arts, a Manchester-based studio working with studying disabled artists. In his ever-growing assortment of ceramic blue plaques, created with the help of ceramicist Caroline Tattersall, he celebrates individuals who have meant one thing to him – members of the family, buddies, TV personalities and musicians – specializing in life’s central milestones: births, marriages and deaths. “I really feel proud of making the plaques,” says Lindezey. “I roll the clay on to the mould, paint it white, then I put the letters on it. I like displaying them in exhibitions, in Blackburn and London. I wish to see them on the market – they’re good reminiscences of some folks that have died.”
