World No 1 Scottie Scheffler has surgical procedure after freak Christmas dinner harm

The boys’s world No 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler has had surgical procedure on a hand harm he sustained whereas cooking Christmas dinner. The 28-year-old American has been pressured to withdraw from the primary match of the season, subsequent week’s the Sentry in Hawaii, after slicing his proper hand on damaged glass.

The PGA Tour stated: “World No 1 and 2024 FedEx Cup Champion Scottie Scheffler has withdrawn from the PGA Tour’s 2025 season-opening match, the Sentry, which is able to happen subsequent week, 2-5 January on the Plantation Course at Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii.”

Responding to Hovland’s message, 2021 Open winner Collin Morikawa stated: “I’m wrapping myself in some bubble wrap on the way in which to Hawaii.”
