Our crew visited the village of Maarakeh, the place the group was commemorating those that misplaced their lives within the battle
An RT crew has traveled to southern Lebanon, days after the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah was introduced.
The armistice was enacted final Wednesday, following 14 months of hostilities. The combating has waned however has not stopped solely, with each side already repeatedly accusing one another of violations.
RT’s Steve Sweeney spoke to the residents of Maarakeh, a Lebanese village positioned to the east of the town of Tyre. The settlement has been critically broken by Israeli shelling, with a number of buildings destroyed through the hostilities.
The village is adorned with the flags of the Hezbollah group, with locals expressing sturdy assist and readiness to proceed combating Israel. The villagers paid tribute to those that had misplaced their lives within the combating, with 11 males from Maarakeh alone killed within the hostilities.
“We can not examine to the martyrs, not even by 1%, as a result of they sacrificed themselves for the Resistance. One such hero is as invaluable as 1000’s of individuals, and I’m proud to have had the chance to be round them. I hope that God will give me the chance to obtain the identical honor.
