Ukraine has made incursions into Russian territory, boosting morale and altering the dynamic of the two-year warfare that started after Russia’s 2022 full-scale invasion.
Ukraine launched the shock incursion into the Kursk and Belgorod areas of Russia with armour and infantry on 6 August, involving 1000’s of troops amounting to 14 brigades. Whereas preliminary particulars of the assault had been murky, Kyiv and Moscow have now acknowledged the operation into the Russian border areas, whereas unbiased analysts have verified claims in regards to the scale of the advance by geolocating photos posted by Ukrainian troops.
