President-elect Donald Trump chosen Jamieson Greer Tuesday to function the US commerce consultant in his incoming administration.
“Jamieson performed a key position throughout my First Time period in imposing Tariffs on China and others to fight unfair Commerce practices, and changing the failed NAFTA take care of USMCA, due to this fact making it significantly better for American Employees,” the president-elect wrote in his announcement.
Trump, 78, tapped Greer a day after he introduced plans to signal government orders that might impose sweeping tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China in an effort to stamp out unlawful immigration and drug smuggling.
Greer served as chief of workers to the USTR Robert Lighthizer throughout Trump’s first time period within the White Home.
