The heritage steam prepare that runs from Grosmont to Pickering, within the North York Moors, was stalling Fiona Duncan’s busy morning. It was just a few days earlier than Christmas, again in 2018, and Duncan was dashing round Grosmont city centre, selecting up last-minute necessities.

Duncan is a pet portrait artist and images advisor.
