A metropolis Correction officer was indicted Wednesday for allegedly smuggling greater than $15,000 value of contraband – together with 200 cigarettes and a cellphone – into Rikers Island, prosecutors mentioned. 

Kendell Felix, 37, is accused of accepting a $3,000 bribe from an outdoor individual in an effort to sneak the illicit gadgets into the jail advanced and distribute them to the inmates, in line with the Bronx District Lawyer’s Workplace and regulation enforcement sources.
