Meghan Markle appreciated freebies — and clashed with staffers who tried to clarify that royal protocol forbade accepting items from business organizations, in accordance with a bombshell new ebook concerning the duchess and Prince Harry.
Markle, 41, fought together with her private assistant, Melissa Toubati, as a result of Meghan needed to maintain the garments she received, the Solar reported, citing excerpts from Valentine Low’s new ebook, “Courtiers: The Hidden Energy Behind the Crown.”
Toubati resigned six months after Meghan and Harry’s 2018 wedding ceremony.
Low’s ebook cited an insider who claimed: “Clashes centered on the free items that some corporations would ship Meghan. Deliveries had been continuously arriving at Kensington Palace. ‘Garments, jewellery, candles … It was continuous.”
