A quiet disbelief hung over the road. Followers stood in shock, some consoling each other, others staring up on the white facade of the Casa Sur lodge, the place all of the curtains have been closed.
This was the scene within the Buenos Aires neighbourhood of Palermo on Wednesday evening after information broke that Liam Payne had fallen to his dying from a third-floor balcony on the lodge.
The previous One Route star, aged 31, had been visiting the nation alongside along with his bandmate Niall Horan.
As crowds of distressed One Route followers gathered exterior the constructing, police cordoned off the highway from site visitors, and sealed off the lodge entrance with tape. Investigators arrived at about 7.40pm wearing forensic fits, and filmed the skin of the constructing.
