n investigation has been launched after a girl died early immediately in a hearth at a block of flats in east London.
Firefighters carrying respiration equipment had rescued her from a ground-floor property on The Ridgeway, Chingford.
However she was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
London Fireplace Brigade stated it was known as at 11.45pm final evening and the fireplace was beneath management on the three-storey block by 1.14am.
4 engines and round 25 firefighters from Chingford, Woodford and Enfield stations attended.
LFB stated: “The reason for the fireplace is beneath investigation.”The Met stated it was not considered suspicious presently.
