A KFC worker has been fired after hurling homophobic slurs at a homosexual couple in Illinois on Wednesday evening.
Joshua Garner and his companion Lee Partitions have been selecting up an order for a DoorDash buyer at a drive-thru of a KFC in Springfield when the offended worker started verbally attacking them, WAND reported.
Garner recorded the incident, by which the person calls the couple “queers” and “f–s.”
“You’ll be able to’t try this! You’ll be able to’t try this!” Garner says behind the digital camera.
“I don’t give a f–okay if y’all are homosexual or not. This motherf—-r appears to be like queer so he can get the f–okay out of right here,” the worker lashes out.
“You’re going to lose your job I hope you realize that!” Garner replies.
KHQA recognized the worker as Payton Burke.
Garner says the incident has left him and Partitions shaken up, and he hopes everybody concerned, together with the supervisor, will get fired.
“It was like a shot to the guts, like a bullet to the guts,” he advised WAND. “It was like we couldn’t say something.”
KFC mentioned Thursday Burke had been axed, and that the franchisee who owns the restaurant has apologized to the couple.
