The US nationwide safety advisor made the comment on Tuesday following Ukraine’s settlement to a US proposal for a ceasefire
US Nationwide Safety Advisor Mike Waltz has introduced that he’ll get in contact together with his “Russian counterpart” within the coming days to debate a possible settlement to the Ukraine battle.
The official made the comment following negotiations with a Ukrainian delegation, who reportedly agreed to Washington’s proposal for an interim ceasefire.
At a press convention with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia late on Tuesday, Waltz stated that the Ukrainian delegation had made it clear that “they share President [Donald] Trump’s imaginative and prescient for peace” and “his willpower to finish the preventing.” The official added that Kiev’s representatives had “made concrete steps and concrete proposals.”
“I’ll discuss to my Russian counterpart within the coming days,” Waltz added.
