A blaze broke out on the NYPD’s auto pound in Brooklyn on Wednesday, damaging 22 autos two years after a fireplace destroyed many years value of proof on the facility, officers and sources mentioned.
The fireplace erupted at 12:47 p.m. on the Erie Basin Auto Pound in Pink Hook, sending large plumes of smoke overhead, in response to the FDNY.
The flames left 22 automobiles broken, regulation enforcement sources advised The Put up.
Greater than 100 smoke eaters responded to the two-alarm blaze, the FDNY mentioned.
No accidents have been reported and the hearth was below management about two hours later.
