Girl ‘intentionally pushed into busy street’ exterior Sainsbury’s



girl in her 60s was taken to hospital with fractured ribs after being “intentionally pushed” right into a busy street.

Police have arrested a 32-year-old man following the incident on Stoke Newington Excessive Avenue on Monday morning.

The lady was allegedly pushed into the street exterior Sainsbury’s, sustaining a graze to her head and a number of fractured ribs.

A passer-by bumped into close by Stoke Newington Police Station to alert officers.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene, and the lady was taken to hospital with accidents not described as life-changing or life-threatening.

A Met Police spokesperson mentioned: “At this stage within the investigation it’s thought the lady was intentionally pushed into the street.”

A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily hurt and is presently in police custody.
