Video footage reveals dozens of anti-government protesters toppling the statue of Syrian chief Bashar al-Assad’s late father Hafez within the Damascus suburb of Jaramana, as insurgents approached the capital. The protesters could be seen knocking down the bust of Hafez within the sq. and chanting anti-Assad slogans.
