Driver arrested after 17-vehicle crash in Texas leaves 3 adults, 2 children useless


Police in Austin, Texas arrested a suspect Friday following a 17-vehicle crash that left 5 individuals useless, together with a toddler and an toddler.

Solomun Araya, 37, is now going through 5 counts of Intoxication Manslaughter and two counts of Intoxication Assault following the large pileup late Thursday evening within the North Austin space. Police mentioned Araya is being held on the Travis County Jail.

The NTSB, in coordination with the Austin Police Division, introduced on Friday it had opened a security investigation into the wreck.

The portion of I-35 southbound the place the crash occurred seemed to be closed Friday.
