Crews from eight engines deal with ‘massive industrial hearth’ in Birmingham



“massive industrial hearth” has damaged out in north Birmingham, and residents are being warned to remain indoors.

West Midlands Fireplace Service (WMFS) stated eight engines are on the scene at Tame Highway and Electrical Avenue in Witton.

The drive stated in a tweet on Saturday night time: “Please remember that now we have a big incident throughout the Witton space of Birmingham.

“We’ve eight hearth engines in attendance tackling the incident.

“Please attempt to keep away from the realm whereas we convey the incident below management.”

WMFS described the blaze as “a big industrial hearth” and stated highway closures and diversions have been in place.

The drive warned individuals dwelling within the space to remain indoors and maintain their home windows and doorways closed.
