A brand new exhibition is the primary to tackle the total breadth of Peter Hujar’s later images, co-curated by the artist’s good friend and printer, Gary Schneider, and his biographer, John Douglas Miller. Hujar’s principal concern was with types of portraiture – of his pals and denizens of the downtown scene, whom he encountered on the road, shot in his condo studio or sought out backstage. The present has obtained glowing critiques in each the Guardian and Observer. Peter Hujar: Eyes Open within the Darkish is at Raven Row, London till 6 April.
