The male vacationer, aged 33, was charged with “unauthorized entry” by police after he drove a moped for 1.2 miles via the traditional ruins of Pompeii within the nation’s south.

Italian police allege the Aussie man rode via the world-famous archaeological park through a service gate following the entry of vehicles from development firms.
