Alan Sugar reveals his brother has died after struggling coronavirus


The Apprentice star, 73, revealed his loss as he paid tribute to the “lifetime Spurs supporter”.

He tweeted on Tuesday morning: “In the present day I misplaced my long-suffering brother Derek, one other sufferer of Covid which added to his underlying well being points.

“He was a lifetime, passionate Spurs supporter.

“I always remember my sister-in-law joking with me, thanking me for purchasing him the membership.

“A tragic day for us all within the household,” Lord Sugar, who was chairman of Spurs, stated.

Posting an image of Derek on Instagram, he added: “RIP bro”.

BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker was amongst these sending their condolences, writing “Sorry in your loss.”

In September, Lord Sugar hit out at “unfair” criticism of the Authorities’s response to Covid-19, hailing Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s response.

“However I do assume they should demand that folks come again to workplaces and help the Metropolis, help the economic system,” he stated on the time.

“The Metropolis is struggling as there are not any staff there, so till they actually push to get extra individuals there it can proceed to appear to be a ghost city.”
