AI ‘godfather’ Geoffrey Hinton warns of risks as he quits job at Google

rtificial intelligence “godfather” Geoffrey Hinton has resigned from his job at Google, saying that “dangerous actors” will use new AI applied sciences to hurt others and that the instruments he helped to create may spell the top of humanity.

Dr Hinton has spent his whole profession researching the event and makes use of of AI applied sciences, and in 2018 acquired the Turing Award for his work.
